Our Winter Wanderlust speaker series continues to shine this Sunday, February 14th, with our third speaker, Shon Meckfessel, who will share his insights into the Balkans. Shon has spent over three years living and traveling throughout the Balkans and the Middle East, and published a book about his experiences entitled Suffled How It Gosh: A North American Anarchist in the Balkans. He is now a PhD candidate at the University of Washington in Discourse Analysis, and a Master candidate in Teaching ESL. An avid traveler, intellectual, and conversationalist, Shon's unique experiences and perspectives on this complicated and often misunderstood region will make this event a not to be missed discussion.
